GoodRelations for Automotive
Update: Our work on a vocabulary for describing cars has now been integrated into schema.org:
- Core elements have gone into the main schema.org site, see e.g. http://schema.org/Vehicle and http://schema.org/Car
- Additional elements are managed in a reviewed schema.org extension, hosted at http://auto.schema.org/. This adds additional classes and properties and is managed by the W3C Automotive Ontology Community Group.
Note that all the work above is aligned with GoodRelations; for simplifying the use of these new elements, we are just using the GoodRelations model in the schema.org namespace.
Manufacturers and dealers of cars can publish all characteristics and features of their vehicles on the Web, which empowers novel recommendation applications to fairly compare a vast amount of vehicle offers.
