Coupons and Vouchers in GoodRelations

In this GEP, we describe a proposal on how to add support for vouchers and coupons to GoodRelations, and implicitly to schema.org.

Overview

Currently, the GoodRelations conceptual model supports only absolute pricing patterns. While they can vary by quantity, period of time, delivery region, target audience, or other parameters, one can currently not model coupon and voucher scenarios. Coupons are typically modifiers to offers (gr:Offering) that either

  • change the price in absolute or relative terms,
  • change the quantity,
  • add certain products or services to the offer,
  • waive the fees for delivery or payment, or
  • add preferred financing offers.

Other patterns of modifying an existing offer may exist.

Proposal

The proposal is still under development and not yet available for public review.
